Summer Breeze didn’t start out with this name, it wasn’t born as a single, and it wasn’t even meant to be a chill house track. At first, it was supposed to be one of the songs on my album, but its sound soon drifted too far from the theme of my project and took on a life of its own; you can’t always choose what to tell through music—sometimes it’s the music itself that decides which story to narrate. This time it turned into a summer track, slightly melancholic, that feels like beaches at sunset and that solitude wrapping around our thoughts when we find ourselves alone with sand slipping through our toes. Don’t get me wrong though: there’s not even a trace of sadness here. Why release it when summer is already coming to an end, you may ask? Because I’ve been late on my goals all my life, and I didn’t want to prove myself wrong this time either—after all, a man only has his word. Speaking briefly about myself, I’m not here with a clear idea or a defined project: I stopped dreaming a while ago. I often find myself thinking I don’t even have those essential qualities that would allow me to dream. I use music mainly as a vessel for my emotions and melancholy, a sort of diary written in a universal language—a language so universal that it often ends up being taken for granted. What do you think of Summer Breeze?
