Around the Haus 001 marks the beginning of my journey as Shan.wav, exploring the sounds, influences, and musical connections shaping my identity behind the decks. Rooted in soulful and deep house, this opening installment moves through Chicago grooves, expressive vocals, R&B textures, Detroit techno, and percussive club rhythms. Featuring selections from Glenn Underground, Terry Hunter, Kelela, Scan 7, and Disclosure, the mix reflects my early experiments with blending different corners of dance music into one experience. Recorded from my bedroom in Houston, 001 captures the curiosity, freedom, and love for music behind the series. The first chapter of Let The Songs Kiss.
